Robinson entered the Falcons' record books in style against the Rams.

ATLANTA No other running back in Atlanta Falcons' history has done what Bijan Robinson has in 2025. No other player has, for that matter.
In Week 17's win against the Los Angeles Rams on "Monday Night Football," Robinson cemented his third year with the Falcons as one of the best offensive seasons in the franchise's history.
Going into Monday night's game, Robinson needed 151 yards from scrimmage to break William Andrews' single-season scrimmage yard total (2,176). He did a lot more than 151.
Robinson's final stat line in the Falcons' win was 22 carries for 195 rushing yards, 34 receiving yards on five catches with a rushing and receiving touchdown. Through 27 touches in total, Robinson accumulated 229 yards from scrimmage.
At this point in time, there is no one doing more than Robinson. And the numbers tell the tale.
- Robinson leads the league in scrimmage yards with 2,255 on the year.
- He now holds the Falcons' franchise record for the most scrimmage yards accumulated by one player in a single season.
- His 93-yard touchdown run in the Falcons' Monday night win is the longest run by any player in the league this season. He hit 21.2 miles per hour as he broke away from defenders. That run was the first 90-plus yard rush by a Falcons running back since Warrick Dunn recorded a 90-yard rush against the Giants in 2006.
- After that 93-yard touchdown, Robinson officially had the most scrimmage yards by a player 23 years or younger in NFL history, passing Christian McCaffrey's Carolina record of 5,443.
- Only two players in the history of 'Monday Night Football' have surpassed 200-plus scrimmage yards in back-to-back 'Monday Night Football' games: Robinson and Jerry Rice.
- Perhaps most impressive of Robinson's 200-plus scrimmage yard performance was the fact he gained 190 of his 229 scrimmage yards after first contact. That's the most yards after contact since ESPN began tracking that specific stat in 2009.
- According to Next Gen Stats, Robinson forced 11 missed tackles on his carries and gained 168 extra yards, tied for the most in any game over the last seven seasons.
- With 1,445 rushing yards and 810 receiving yards, Robinson is the only player in NFL history to record at least 1,400 rushing yards and 810 receiving yards in a single season.
- Robinson rushed for a career-high 195 yards, the most rushing yards in a single game by a Falcon since Michael Turner rushed for 208 yards in 2008 (also against the Rams).
- For the seventh time this season, Robinson finished a contest with over 150 yards. That not only leads the league in the quantity of games of this nature with this specific output, it's one-of-one. No other running back produced more than three such games, with Christian McCaffrey, De'Von Achane, Jahmyr Gibbs and Jonathan Taylor all finishing with three.
- Oh, and in the world of fantasy football, Robinson earned a career-high 39.9 PPR points on Monday night to close out the fantasy season.
Robinson's rise is meteoric as much as historic. Funny enough? It's wildly expected by virtually everyone in Atlanta.
"I've said it for 18 weeks," head coach Raheem Morris said after the game, "he's the best player in football. It's as simple as that."
Quarterback Kirk Cousins: "I think (Monday night) we asked a lot of him, but if you call his number he's going to answer."
Kicker Zane Gonzalez: "There are not enough words for that guy. He is truly a different human. Just untackleable. Breaking tackles you don't think (anyone can). It's just really fun to watch. Honestly, as a teammate and a fan watching from the sideline, it's pretty impressive to see."
No one is surprised that Robinson's 2025 season is ending in this fashion. Not even opponents.
"Bijan Robinson is an unbelievable player," Rams head coach Sean McVay said. "You give up a 93-yard touchdown, we obviously hate that we turned the ball over there deep in the territory, you're thinking we'll be able to flip the field. He goes 93 yards, and you give him a vertical seam, and he's the type of player that can do that."
With one week remaining in the 2025 season, Robinson needs just 28 yards in Week 18 to clear Saquon Barkley's 2,283 from last season for the most scrimmage yards for any player over the last six seasons.
History may not look back at the Falcons' 2025 season fondly. But it surely will look on in awe and wonderment at everything Robinson was able to do throughout it.
