The 49ers return to primetime at home, this time facing the Carolina Panthers. Both teams are looking to build momentum as they head into the second half of the season. Let's dive into your questions!
Q: What's something you're looking forward to going up against the Panthers? @annakendick_
I'm really looking forward to RBChristian McCaffreyfacing the Panthers for the first time. Carolina drafted him, he spent five-plus seasons there, and now he returns as the NFL's leader in scrimmage yards and one of the most dominant players this season. It's definitely a full-circle moment for him, and given the season he's having, it's going to be must-see football on Monday.

For the 49ers to get the win on Monday, it comes down to staying efficient on offense with QBBrock Purdyback under center and playing balanced through McCaffrey and TEGeorge Kittle, and creating more pressure on defense to disrupt Panthers QB Bryce Young's rhythm. Most importantly, it'll be which team wins the key situations: third downs, red zone opportunities, and finishing drives. With both teams fighting for position, executing in those moments will be the difference and help the 49ers stack momentum at home.

With KEddy Pieirodealing with a right hamstring injury and listed as week-to-week, the 49ers have signed veteran kickerMatt Gayto the practice squad. Gay was one of several kickers the team worked out, and with 100 career games and an 84% field goal rate, the 49ers will lean on him while Pieiro makes his way back to full strength.
